OUR 2024 PROJECT PORTFOLIO

28.6KW AC/DC COUPLED SOLAR SYSTEM INSTALLED AT GICUMBI RUBAYA IN RWANDA.

Kolmena group installed this system at Rubaya which is a community facility which helps the local farmers to process their farm produce like corn by milling. They have an 18kw milling machine which initially ran on electricity supplied from national grid. This was really costing them high electricity bills. 

Thanks to the 28.6kw solar system we installed, they can now run the machine independent of national grid. Hence off – grid.

  • 10kw of pv inverter which facilitate the AC coupled side of the system.
  • Three 10kw inverter charger’s/ battery inverters which were parallel to give of 3 phase supply.
  • Two 100A charge controllers which facilitate the DC coupled side of the system.
  • 22kw Variable Frequency Drive. It is a special motor controller which is now used to drive the motor attached to the milling machine. 
  • Remote monitoring system which is controlled by our operations center 24/7/365.
  • 6.8KW SOLAR WATER PUMPING PROJECT INSTALLED AT NDERA IN RWANDA.

 

Kolmena group ltd installed this system at an individual owned farm. The scope of the project was to install a 4kw/5.5hp submersible pump and solarize it. The client wished to have the system pump water to his homestead and around his farm, and that’s what we efficiently did.

 

The system basically works by connecting the solar panels (power generators) to a solar pumping inverter which will now drive the motor attached to the pump. Hence being able to drive water in reference to the head limit of the pump.

  • 4kw/5.5hp of submersible pump with 77mtrs minimum head and 200 mtrs maximum head.

 

  • 10 KW OFF – GRID RESIDENTIAL SOLAR PV SYSTEM AT NDERA IN RWANDA.

 

We are proud to have installed this system at a residential home which is totally isolated from national grid power supply. Giving our client a reliable, efficient decentralized power supply from solar energy on daily basis.
